Andy Cohen is offering a preview of what fans can expect from the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The Bravo host recently spoke with John Hill about Season 17, sharing his excitement about the new cast lineup ahead of the show’s April 5 premiere.
“This is the cast we have been waiting for,” Andy said.
One of the newcomers drawing attention is singer and reality star K. Michelle. Andy admitted he was not familiar with her previous appearances on Love & Hip Hop before filming began.
“I have never seen one frame of Love & Hip Hop,” he said.
Once production started, however, Andy said he quickly became a fan and reached out to welcome her to the series. While checking his messages, he discovered that K. Michelle had contacted him years earlier.
“She had messaged me from like 2023 or something,” he said. “She wrote, ‘I need a peach. This is the show that I belong on.’”
Season 17 will also feature entrepreneur Pinky Cole, founder of the Atlanta-based vegan restaurant chain Slutty Vegan. According to Andy, many of the women already share real-life connections.
“It’s a real group,” he said, noting friendships among cast members, including Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton Mwangi.
After watching early episodes, Andy said the season looks promising.
“I was cackling at the premiere,” he added.
