After two months since they were pulled off air, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes had a mediation session on Thursday with ABC News about whether they’ll be able to return to their jobs.
Entertainment Tonight claims ABC learned about a third woman Holmes allegedly had an affair with recently. The journalist was more than 10 years his junior.
“This third staffer was no secret to most ABC employees, especially those at GMA who worked closely with her during that time,” an insider told ET. “The question now is, will this latest revelation speed up the investigation and force ABC to decide T.J. and Amy’s fates sooner rather than later?”
A source tells PEOPLE that ABC is working to “figure out what degree of punishment is appropriate. A lot of higher ups at the show think they should be fired,” the source said. “But the problem is they can’t fire them so they’re really in trouble and trying to figure it out.”
