A man accused of pretending to be a San Francisco 49ers player to romance women out of more than $1 million is going viral again after his mugshot was released online.
Love is now sitting in an Idaho jail as he waits to face federal charges in Oregon.
Daejon Love, 35, was arrested on August 24 at Boise Airport and remains in custody after prosecutors described him as a “serious risk of flight.”
Love and alleged accomplice Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, are accused of taking $1.3 million from 26 women during a scheme prosecutors say began in February 2022.

According to a federal criminal complaint, Love allegedly met women on dating apps and presented himself as a wealthy 49ers wide receiver. Authorities claim he then convinced them to hand over money for supposed investments.
Chan allegedly played the role of Love’s financial adviser, helping the operation appear legitimate.
Love faces conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud charges, each carrying a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
Chan has already been released pending trial, but with significant restrictions. Court records state that he “must not use any online dating sites, social media applications or dating applications.” He also faces limits on internet access and must avoid contact with alleged victims.
