Daejon Love, 35, has gone viral after he allegedly posed as a San Francisco 49ers player and successful real estate investor while pursuing women online.
Prosecutors also say that Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, helped sell him the story by posing as Love’s financial adviser.
Authorities arrested the two August 24 at the Boise airport in Idaho and charged them with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, Love began connecting with women on dating apps in 2022 and used names including Jon Love, Avril Lyto Love and Jordan Love, and some victims believed they were building real romantic relationships with him.
“Love convinced many of the victims they were in sincere romantic relationships with Love,” prosecutors said, adding that he told women he wanted them to create “wealth and a future together.”
Investigators allege Love and Chan then promoted nonexistent investments promising huge returns. They allegedly used fake banking apps and fabricated balances to make the opportunities appear legitimate.

Some victims sent their own savings, while others allegedly took out personal loans at Love’s request.
Prosecutors say Love eventually blocked women who had no more money to give or who became suspicious.
Financial records allegedly link the pair to about $1.3 million taken from 26 identified victims across California, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
The FBI believes there may be “many more victims.”
