An Atlanta man known as Nature Boy, who was convicted of rape and sentenced to life in prison earlier this year, has been hospitalized after getting into a fight behind bars.
Nature Boy, real name Eligio Bishop, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was released after treatment.
An ex-member of the group and former “wife” of Bishop’s says he attacked her because she was trying to leave him.
Nature Boy was found guilty on charges of rape, false imprisonment, and sharing sexually explicit content on social media in March and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
“You’re a master manipulator and probably the classic definition of a narcissist,” the judge told him at sentencing.
There are countless livestream and videos online showing Nature Boy’s treatment of his wives and other members of his cult online. His group was kicked out of several countries in South America and the Caribbean before being forced to return to the United States.
