Alannah Keyser says the backlash after her Love Island USA exit has included “death threats,” days after she apologized for resurfaced posts.
The 21-year-old Casa Amor contestant, who joined the Peacock dating show on June 21 and was removed in the June 25 episode, spoke about the backlash during a recent episode of One Night with Steiny. Her departure came after a Snapchat video recording circulated online in which she appeared to use a racist slur while singing along to Roddy Ricch’s 2019 song “The Box.”
“There’s a lot of hate. Death threats,” Keyser told host Aaron “Steiny” Steinberg and guest Ray J. “Out of the millions of hate comments, I find the good ones. That does that for me. It keeps me going.”
Ray J was in DISBELIEF the way Alannah Keyser, who was removed from Love Island USA for using a racial slur, explained how she kissed the entire cast upon entering the villa

Keyser also addressed the controversy in a TikTok apology last month. “I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have,” she said. “When I first found out that these things were going around online, it really broke my heart, and I couldn’t do anything about it.”
She said the video was “from six years ago” and added, “that word is just not in my vocabulary.” Keyser said screenshots of messages attributed to her were falsified.
Ray J offered support during the podcast, telling her, “I know that you’ll be successful and that you’ll be great.” Keyser began crying, replying, “I didn’t want to cry.”
