Akon was recently grilled about buying French Montana a fake luxury watch years back…so Akon finally did the right thing and bought the rapper a real watch.
French posted a video posted to Instagram wearing the new timepiece.
“And guess who I run into? Hold on, he’s icy,” French said to Akon. “That’s the watch.”
“Stop asking Akon about the watch he just pulled up on me and gave me another watch lol let’s see if he did right this time @fakewatchbusta,” French captioned the post.
Speaking to DJ Akademiks in 2021, French told the story about the fake watch.
“[The jeweler] looked at me and said, ‘What you mean? Akon did not give you this, my guy,'” French told DJ Akademiks. French added that he called Akon and informed him that the watch was fake. “He was like, ‘What? Let me call the jeweler that gave me that sh-t,'” French said, adding that he was still waiting for the replacement.
