The family of Adin Ross has officially followed through with his threats to take legal action following the death of the streamer’s sister, Madeleine Ross.
Madeleine died on Jan. 15 in Broward County, Florida, at the age of 36. Weeks later, the Ross family filed a lawsuit against the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office in an effort to keep details about her death private.
According to court documents, the family believes information about Madeleine’s passing was shared with a media outlet before the final medical report had been completed or provided to relatives.
In the filing, the family said they are seeking protection of their privacy during a painful time. They described the legal action as an effort “to protect their privacy rights from those seeking to exploit the tragic passing of their beloved daughter.”

Adin Ross and his parents, Mark Ross and Jayne Frankel, claim the early release of information triggered widespread coverage and speculation online. The lawsuit argues that public attention surrounding the case caused “significant harm” while the family was still grieving.
Their attorney said the family hopes the court will limit the release of sensitive details related to Madeleine’s death.
“The Ross family is navigating an unimaginable loss,” the attorney said. “They want this matter handled with care and respect.”
