Media Take Out has some pretty sad news to announce. Legendary actress LisaRaye announced yesterday that her mother has passed on to the ancestors, Media Take Out confirmed.
LisaRaye’s mom has been battling health issues for the past year, and last night she finally let go – and passed on peacefully.
LisaRaye isn’t taking the news very well. She wrote on Instagram, “I’m numb. I lost my mother last night.”
She continued, “It was expected but never could I prepare. Being strong is what you taught me but I can’t say it applies today. I will make your transition a celebration of memories that I’ll cherish. I’ll miss you.”
She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out.
Lisaraye is an actress, fashion designer, model, businesswoman and former first lady of the Turks and Caicos Islands. McCoy is best known for portraying Diana “Diamond” Armstrong in the 1998 film The Players Club, Neesee James on the UPN/The CW sitcom All of Us from 2003 until 2007 and Keisha Greene in the VH1 romantic comedy series Single Ladies which originally aired from 2011 to 2015.
She was also married to Michael Misick, the first Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, from 2006 until 2010; during that time she served as First Lady of Turks and Caicos.
