Weeks after Aaron Carter’s death, his fiancee Melanie Martin, the mother of his son Prince, regained full custody of their son, Prince. On Thursday a court declared that Melanie is completely fit to take care of her son. She was granted full custody of Prince, who is one year old.
“I’m honoring Aaron today and I know he would be so proud of me. I’m so excited to think that we could have been a family, but Aaron would be so happy knowing that I got him back,” Martin told TMZ. “The child belongs with his mother,” she added.
After Aaron’s death, Martin, who was forced to move out of the California home she shared with the late pop singer.
“I don’t want any problems or stress over Aaron’s estate,” Martin told Us Weekly. “I just want Prince to be taken care of and want Aaron’s legacy to live on … whoever wants to be in Prince’s life can be in Prince’s life.”
