Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez and Jaclyn Cordeiro are pausing their relationship.
Cordeiro confirmed the news to TMZ that she and the retired MLB star are “currently taking some time apart,” while asking for sensitivity around the situation.
“There continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families,” she told the outlet. “We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”
The fitness influencer also said she is dealing with a serious issue within her family. “I’m also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there,” she said.
Cordeiro added that she and Rodriguez remain connected despite the time apart. “Alex and I continue to be very close,” she said, asking that coverage show “the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.”
Rodriguez and Cordeiro first made their romance public in 2023. Their relationship came after Rodriguez’s engagement to Jennifer Lopez ended.
TMZ reported that a source said Rodriguez and Cordeiro have been apart for two months, but they paircontinue to follow each other on Instagram.
Rodriguez shares two daughters with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.
