90 Day Fiance star Michael Ilesanmi has created a GoFundMe account to take on his fiancee Angela Deem in court.
Angela filed for an annulment, claiming that Michael “fraudulently induced [her] into a marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
During the show, Angela frequently visited Michael in Nigeria. Her jealously meant that Michael was not allowed to leave the house to work and Angela send him money to provide for him to ensure he was always available to her. Several times during filming, Angela physically and verbally insulted Michael, causing fans to rally around him.
Angela also claims Michael “engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.”
After setting up the GoFundMe account with a goal of $25,000, his supporters quickly helped the reality star exceed his goal.
“I have been put in a situation where I unfortunately have to ask for help. Due to the recent legal filings by Angela against me I must seek legal advice. I have obtained an attorney but the fees are expensive. I have a legal battle to fight and that fight will be expensive,” he wrote. “I am asking all my fans to help – whatever you can give I would deeply appreciate. I understand all of us are having hard times and I hate to ask others for money support but it seems like due to the legal actions brought against me I have to ask. Thank you all and God Bless.”
Fans left comments of support.
“Mykol, good luck. I am so happy you have gotten away from that abusive racist Angela. She is evil. You deserve to be in this country!! I hope you find true love and happiness,” one donator wrote.
Another added, “Good luck with everything Michael! Angela is a horrible abusive monster and I wish her nothing but the worst type of eternal pain and suffering. You don’t deserve any of this nonsense. You are so strong for having endured 7 years of physical mental and emotional abuse. And for everyone to see on TV no less!!”
