Wedding bells are on the horizon for Chantel Everett. The reality TV favorite is officially engaged after her girlfriend, Ashley Bowen, proposed.
Ashley popped the question on Dec. 17 at Uhuburg, a Renaissance-style castle tucked away in the mountains of Georgia. Chantel believed the outing was simply a photo and video shoot, only to be stunned when Ashley dropped to one knee and revealed both a sparkling ring and an original song written just for the moment.
“Our love feels like it was written in the stars,” the couple told PEOPLE. “So romantic, so authentic, so raw. We love that about our love story.”
Fans first saw Chantel open up about her sexuality earlier this year on 90 Day Fiancé, where she shared how a longtime friendship unexpectedly turned into something deeper.
“I realized that I really care for her,” Chantel said during the show. “So I decided I wanted to explore that relationship.”
That journey began with a kiss that caught Chantel completely off guard. “It felt like my first kiss ever,” she recalled. “I was so shocked, and I really liked it.”
Chantel was previously married to Pedro Jimeno before they ended their marriage in 2022.
