6th Alleged Gang Member Charged With FBG Duck’s Killing

A sixth alleged member of South Side Chicago’s O-Block gang has been charged in the murder of FBG Duck.

FBG Duck was murdered in a drive-by shooting back in 2020.

Ralph Turpin, 33, also known as “Tall” and “Teezy,” has been charged with one count of committing murder in aid of racketeering and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering.

In October 2021, five men were charged in connection with Duck’s murder. Charles Liggins, also known as “C Murda,” Kenneth Roberson, also known as “Kenny” and “Kenny Mac,” Tacarlos Offerd, also known as “Los,” Christopher Thomas, also known as “C Thang,” and Marcus Smart, also known as “Muwop,” are charged with murder in aid of racketeering and federal firearm violations and assaults in aid of racketeering.

In June, U.S. District Judge Martha Pacold set Oct. 2, 2023 as the tentative trial date for men charged in the August 2020 shooting of FBG Duck along Oak Street in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
