Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing backlash after comments he made during a livestreamed gender reveal party circulated online.
In footage shared by TMZ, the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, told guests he would have wanted his pregnant girlfriend to terminate the pregnancy if they were expecting a girl…while attending a celebration with girlfriend Aliday Alter, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
During the livestream, 6ix9ine said he only wanted a son and claimed he would have pushed for an abortion had the reveal shown the couple was expecting a daughter, and when Alter suggested she believed the baby might be a girl, the rapper responded, “She’s down, she open-minded.”
The reveal later confirmed the couple is expecting a boy.
Hernandez, 30, is already a father to two daughters from previous relationships, a 12-year-old daughter with Sara Molina and a 7-year-old daughter with Marlayna M.
In 2015, Hernandez pleaded guilty to a felony count involving the use of a child in a sexual performance. Four years later, he was sentenced to two years in prison after cooperating with federal prosecutors in a gang-related case connected to the Bloods Gang.
