Mogul 50 Cent believes Sean “Diddy” Combs could be out of prison sooner than expected, but he does not think that means the story is over.
“I do believe that his time will be shortened,” 50 Cent said per AllHipHop. “I believe he’ll be home early. We’ll see who’s at the next parties. His conviction doesn’t mean that they’re going to stop. There’s not enough time going by for change. He got away with a lot of stuff, so you should expect him to think he can get away with more.”
The rapper and television producer’s comments come after his four-part Netflix documentary series, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, became a major streaming success. The project, executive produced by 50 Cent and directed by Alex Stapleton, debuted in December and quickly reached No. 1 on Netflix’s U.S. charts. It also drew more than 21 million global views in its first week.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” has also earned Emmy consideration.
The documentary give a closer look into Diddy’s rise through New York’s hip-hop scene and the dozens of allegations and criminal cases that have followed him. It also includes never-before-seen footage of Diddy in the days before his September 2024 arrest, as well as interviews with jurors from his trial and early accusers, including Joi Dickerson-Neal.
Diddy was convicted on July 2, 2025, on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. On Oct. 3, 2025, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced him to 50 months in federal prison, a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.
He is currently serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, with an expected release date in April 2028. His attorneys have appealed to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals,
