50 Cent’s Diddy Doc Earns THREE Emmy Nominations!

Lyndon Abioye |

50 Cent is celebrating after his Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, received three nominations, including one of the night’s biggest documentary honors.

The four-part series, executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Alex Stapleton, earned a nod for best documentary or nonfiction series. Stapleton also received a directing nomination, while the production was recognized for picture editing.

Released in December, the docuseries quickly drew attention for previously unseen footage of Diddy preparing with his legal team ahead of his high-profile 2025 federal trial, with each episode being four hours long.

The project includes interviews with accusers, former collaborators, and a childhood friend, and two jurors speaking publicly for the first time after Diddy was acquitted of the most serious federal charges against him. Duane “Keefe D” Davis also appears, discussing the alleged killing of Tupac Shakur.

Diddy remains in a federal prison in New Jersey after receiving a 50-month sentence following a split verdict. His attorneys are seeking to appeal, arguing in part that recordings described in court as “amateur pornography” were protected by the First Amendment.

His projected release date is Feb. 28, 2028, after three months were removed from his sentence.
