50 Cent is going viral again, this time for his response to Jussie Smollett’s onstage performance for Pride weekend.
Fif shared a clip Sunday from Smollett’s performance at Harlem Pride’s “17 Shades of Pride” celebration, using the moment to revive his long-running digs at Empire, the Fox drama that once competed with his Starz hit Power.
“See I told you ‘POWER’ was the s—, but No you want to watch ‘Empire.’ Now look this its all your fault. LOL,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram.
Smollett, who reported being attacked in Chicago in 2019, was convicted in 2021 of staging the incident. His conviction was overturned in November 2024. He has maintained his innocence and said, “I will continue creating my art, fighting passionately for causes I hold dear and defending my integrity and family name with the truth.”

Smollett’s return to the mainstream spotlight drew mixed reactions online, with some mocking the performance and others defending the actor, including Queer Eye star Karamo Brown, who said he attended the event.
“I was at this PRIDE event and Jussie killed it. F–k off for using one clip from the entire 30 min show to try bring someone down!” Brown commented.
A representative for Smollett also responded, saying, “Given the complexities of his own personal life, 50 Cent might be better served tending to matters closer to home rather than taking public shots at Jussie.”
