50 Cent called Hurricane Chris “broke” after the Louisiana rapper offered to take over his Shreveport redevelopment plans.
On Wednesday, the G-Unit founder shared a clip of Chris on Instagram and mocked the idea that the “A Bay Bay” artist could replace him if he stepped away from the city.
“Broke eyes, the boy broke, talking about he want to take over. LOL. Only in Shreveport,” 50 wrote, tagging his Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi Champagne brands.
Chris had entered the conversation after 50 suggested he might pull back from some of his business plans in Shreveport, saying local opposition was making it harder to move forward. The hometown rapper responded that he and a group of investors were ready to accept the same opportunity on the same terms.
The rapper clapped back with an AI-generated video, trolling the mogul.

Chris has repeatedly argued that Shreveport artists and business owners should have a larger role in the city’s entertainment expansion and he has also said that his criticism concerns access, not a personal grudge against 50.
The exchange comes as 50 continues developing G-Unit Studios and other projects intended to turn Shreveport into a film and television production destination.
