50 Cent is speaking out about Dame Dash weighing in on his deal with Eminem’s Shady Records.
Dame Dash once told 50 Cent that his $1 million cash advance for his deal was not a lot of money… but Fif says Dame no longer has a lot of money himself.
Back in 2003 during the MTV2: Hip Hop Dollars documentary, Dame said:
“What a million dollars is to a first-time rapper. First off, it’s taxed half. So that’s 500,000 dollars, right then and there, boom, so now you only have 500,000 dollars. First thing you gotta do is get a nice car. There’s 100,000, now you got 4 left.”
50 doesn’t think Dame is qualified to make those statements.
“The only person that pointed out $1 million was no money was Damon Dash and he has no money now. I only felt that because he said, that ain’t no money,” he said on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.
“Fif continued, “After you get a watch, a chain, you look out for the homies and you do this, that it’s nothing. And I was like, ‘N-gga, I’m from 134th Street. $1 million is a lot of money.’ I think I hit the lotto! How you gonna say it’s no money? I just never forgot that because of how it felt.”
