50 Cent was asked about the NFL’s decision to have Kendrick Lamar perform at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show next year.
Some rappers and fans are upset that Lil Wayne was not selected, even though the event has been held numerous times in New Orleans and the Young Money boss has never been tapped before.
“I mean, it was a choice. Kendrick deserves … as a solo artist right now, he’s the guy. But having the game be in New Orleans, having it – be played in New Orleans, I could see why they got – I think the last show was put together with me, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick was there then,” 50 said on The Talk.
Some fans have suggested that K.Dot bring out Lil Wayne during his performance, but 50 had a different take.
“He (Kendrick) should bring out the people he featured on big records with – like it depends on the record,” he said.
