21 Savage talked to DJ Akademiks about the savage killing of Migos rapper, Takeoff.
He was affected by the death and said it opened his eyes.
“I feel like it was a freak accident, 1,000% but I also feel like that sh-t was an eye opener for them n-ggas too…They had all the bullsh-t going on…I feel certain sh-t happens for certain reasons,’ said the rapper.
He continued, “I don’t want to say it like he was a sacrifice or some sh-t, so I’m not saying it in that way. But more so like, a lot of people gonna learn from this situation and realize a lot of sh-t don’t be worth it…. A lot of feuds and arguments don’t be worth it in the end.”
Takeoff’s funeral took place yesterday at State Farm Arena.
“Migos literally shaped and changed the sound of hip-hop music,” Lore’l said. “TakeOff was such an important part of the group. I mean, one part–one-third–of the biggest group that, up to date, we’ve seen in my lifetime,” she struggled to find the words, in her grief. “I just can’t even, I can’t even imagine.”
