R&B legend India Arie is speaking out on what she sees as a damaging trend in music today – where Black women are forced to over s*xualize themselves to sell music.
And Media Take Out learned that she’s firing shots directly at two of the biggest artists to date. India launched her rant after seeing Janelle Monae and Meg Thee Stallion.
India blasted some of the biggest Black artists – she wrote, “When we as a culture make something like this [th*t culture] mainstream, it shows a lack of discretion and discernment.”
She added, “Does everything belong on stage.”
