2000s Rapper Mystikal Arrested For RAPE . . .AGAIN!!!

Media Take Out Staff |

Mystikal, a popular 2000s rapper from New Orleans, has been arrested for rape, Media Take Out has confirmed.

The rapper also served out nearly a decade behind bars for a similar crime.

Media Take Out confirmed that arrest records show, Michael Tyler, 52, better known by his stage name Mystikal, was arrested Sunday and booked on several charges, including strangulation, false imprisonment and first-degree rape.

Media Take Out reached out to the Ascension Parish Jail for comment on the charges, but they refused comment.

Mystikal previously faced sexual crime allegations in 2004 after sexually assaulting his hairstylist, news outlets reported. He eventually pled guilt to attacking the woman and spent six years in jail following the arrest.

Mystikal was registered as a sex offender after his release.

Then he was arrested again in 2017, surrendering himself to police after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest on an assault that allegedly happened in a Shreveport casino. The charges from 2017 were eventually dropped, and Mystikal was released from jail on a $3 million bond.

No bond has yet been posted for the rapper following his Sunday arrest. His full list of charges includes first-degree rape, simple robbery, domestic abuse battery, false imprisonment, and simple criminal damage to property.
