Legendary 1980s hip hop star Melle Mel is being accused of attacking a woman, and damaging her eye, Media Take Out has learned. And Melle was arrested for the attack, and taken to the county jail in Los Angeles.
The woman who claims she was attacked, is music industry insider Jori Jordan. Tori and Melle Mel have been friends for nearly two decades – and have had an on-again/off-again romantic relationship. Here’s a picture of them from the mid 2000s.
Embed from Getty ImagesAccording to Jori, Melle asked her to come up to his hotel room over the weekend, and she agreed. When she arrived, Jori claims that Melle struck her in the eye with his hand. Jori says that Melle Mel was wearing rings on four fingers and one of the rings scratched her cornea.
That was especially bad because Jori was recovering from surgery in that same eye. She now says that she has a “hole” in her eye, that may never heal.
