A 15-year-old drill rapper has been charged with murder in the fatal subway stabbing of a 14-year-old up-and-coming rapper in Manhattan, Media Take Out has confirmed.
It’s the latest in a series of brazen attacks against drill rappers occurring all across the city.
Ethan Reyes, who performed under the name “Notti Osama” was killed following a simmering dispute between him and another drill rapper, sources said.
Drill rappers often taunt their rivals in music videos and lyrics, which the NYPD believes only adds fuel to the gang beef fire.
But with the growing violence between drill rappers, New York City Mayor Adams called for it to be banned on social media platforms earlier this year.
Reyes was found on the 137th Street subway platform Police bleeding from the back and abdomen. He was then rushed to the hospital where we was pronounced dead.
The kid accused of fatally stabbing Notti Osama is also a drill rapper, police say. The two teen boys had a rap dispute that turned violent, social media reports are saying. The suspect has not publicly identified by cops because he is just a minor – 15 years old.
He is being treated for stab wounds at New York Presbyterian Hospital, sources said.
