Of course it's working. Americans aren't stupid, They're well aware how vulture capitalists operate. Bain capital always made money, even when companies they took over went bankrupt; and people lost jobs, health benefits and pensions. When the bet went good, Bain made millions. When the bet went bad, Bain made millions. But then again that's what capitalism is about, exploitation.

But Troll, this is the point I've made time and time again. Most of our politicians are exactly the same. Bush initiated the Patriot Act to somehow protect us, and Obama has just continued it. What is our Congress bickering about? Whether to spend more money now or more money later? Both parties have no interest in repealing the Patriot Act. There is no reason, under any ***, to give up one ounce of our freedom (why do we need illegal wire taps?) for any bit of security. They are NOT mutually exclusive.

bklynkey718, I do not know your full views, but if you believe America is a capitalistic society, you are mistaken. Capitalism does not preach bailing out big business and big banks; nor granting special favors to certain industries; nor inflating our funny money any further. No, we have a mix of the worse of capitalism and socialism, where big business reaps and the benefits and when they lose money, we socialize the losses.
