Must admit, it was quite daunting to see a man commit suicide in this way. I immediately knew when I saw him crunch on the pills, he was taking cianide. I would think defendants would be searched before entering a court room as it seemed he took them from his hands. I find it also strange that it wasn't like he had commited mass murder and was up for the death penalty. He was convicted of an insurance arson fraud. Sure, he had jail time he could have gotten, up to 12 years and a fine, but I guess some people just can't deal with losing their freedoms in this way, for this amount of possible time. Sad...
