@greg, Exactly. And I guess it's okay for Bush to say his war on terrorism help lead to the death Osama Bin Laden and has kept America safe for ten years. How come Obama is the only one who gets to claim victories, yet 10% of the population remains unemployed. Everything bad is blamed on Bush and all good goes to the Messiah. If the Obama supporters would admit to his *** maybe, the right wouldn't be so radical. I guess it's easier to blame everything on Bush and the Republican party. Face it, Bush has been gone for nearly four years...Obama is responsible for our current mess.

I think this article is silly, just like I thought all the credit Giuliani got was silly. But about Osama Bin Laden, who knows if it would have happened under Bush? What Obama made was a judgement call and who's to say Bush would have made the same judgement? Bush DID have the chance to capture or kill bin Laden in 2001 and missed the chance due to bad decision making.
In 2008 Bush had destroyed this country so bad that NO candidates didn't even want him to campaign for them, and every Republican distanced themselves from him. Bush led us into the greatest financial crisis in almost 80 years. Did Obama make some mistakes? Sure he did. But we were/are dealing with an epic recession, and it's not going to be fixed in less than 4 years. The Right never gave Obama a chance. Where was the Tea Party when Bush was President even though he approved TARP. the bailouts, and send people extra money in the 2007 tax season? Before Obama was even sworn in they started sending him tea bags and calling him a Socialist. Now maybe if the Right would support their President maybe we could get things done.
Who the hell hires people here at MTO?? Seriously. How is this Obama's doing?? @ucrazy5454 can you cite your sources with your comment "but polls say obama is not to blame for our current mess bush still is. "? Pretty sure there's enough evidence to prove that things are getting worse each year Obama is in office.
Also, it says for the 5th consecutive year, which means, it started with Bush. *eye roll* Politics should stay off of biased ignorant websites like this. Idiots come crawling out of the woodwork pretending they have an opinion.
In the book freakonomics there is a very interesting theory as to why violent crime has fallen since the early 90s when although it was being predicted that it would get worse. I suspect some people will need tylenols when they hear the theory.
Obama's win probably affected this very minimally if any.
@greg, I have never been a supporter nor voted for Bush. However, the man was put in a tight situation when 911 happened. He did the best he could. Do I think Bush fervor was over the top...Yes! America was a madhouse. But let's face it, Obama has never been challenged like Bush was. Bush made mistakes and Obama won the election because of those mistakes. Let's stop acting like Obama is the Messiah. He really hasn't done anything of significance in four years. People are still unemployed. The country is still at war. Gas prices are ridiculous. Sure the guy is likeable. But he hasn't done anything to improve the quality of living for most Americans, especially Blacks.
@ucrazy, So you want to lock people up who disagree with you? That's not very American. It's statements like this that cause people like me to dislike Obama supporters. When Obama is president, no one is allowed to criticize or challenge him. However let it be Bush, and these same folks go ape sh!t on him. A contradiction. I THINK SO

I agree that Bush was put in a bad spot after 911, but his business policies, more than anything caused all of the problems that we have now. Obama was also put in a bad spot which was inheriting all of the Bush mistakes. Could he have done better? Sure he could have. But what many of us say is to give him a fighting chance and with the Republican more concerned with getting rid of Obama than working with him, he's at a disadvantage.
Nobody thinks Obama is the Messiah, but until the Republicans, Democrats, or a third party comes along with someone better, then I'm sticking with Obama.
PS... Obama is losing supporters as we speak. We all know that Cory Booker and Bill Clinton support the Dems and not necessarily Obama. But now Colin Powell says he's not willing to endorse Obama. And even the Obama crush girl (you remember her slutty youtube video) will not publicly support Obama. Real people with real concerns about America are looking pass Obama's race and looking at his record.
DROPS MIC AND CALMLY EXITS ROOM
@greg, I respect your reasoning. I only hope that if...and that's a big IF...Obama gets back in office, he will do something noteworthy. As of yet, he hasn't. If Obama was a white man you know you wouldn't support him. The man is a train wreck. He's whipering in Russian leaders ears that he'll take care of them once he's re-elected. He's singing Al Green and kissing old white ladies to get votes. He even has his wife and kids shaking their azzes at a Beyonce concert. And worst of all, he steps out in support of *** but doesn't do a darn thing for Blacks. Yeah, he's everyone's president but he seems to do something for everyone except us. At least Romney has a solid track record and experience running a state. I'm going to put my money on him. What have I got to lose?
Too bad rampant stupidity ignorance a racism have been at an all time high since he got elected...
^^ Thank you!! NTM He will def go down as the most disrespected President ever. How ridiculous is it that after having a Wall Street type government for over 10 yrs, this man was expected to wipe out the deficit that was a result of same in less than 4 yrs?? I really hope after this election this man gets to go off and be happy with his beautiful wife and daughters as I cant say enough how much America does not deserve him. Charles Pierce was right 'Stupidity really has become a virtue in the Land of the Free'.
Well I'm almost certain violent crime will increase if Romney is elected. Romney's policies for the country are for the rich, and will leave the average American citizen out in the cold with low paying jobs and no type of healthcare benefits. Once the brainwashed Republican supporters, who don't have a pot to *** in, wake up and realize they have been lied to, all hell will break loose. President Obama is not perfect but I will be voting for him because he is trying to help ALL Americans the best he can. Not like Romney and the Republicans who will not put aside their false ideology that tax cuts for the rich is the only way to fix the economic crises, and refuse to work with the President for the good of the country.
As of right now, all of the major general election polls have the candidates tied or each candidate winning by one point. Why isn't Obama doing better? Look at his record. Look at his broken promises. Look at the economy. He will lose because many people who vote Democratic will stay home rather than vote for more of the same.
@Love... I agree with your comment. When I saw his ad for a better America start today there was not one single black folk or Hispanics, well Asian too that was depicted in the ad. It spoke volumes that the Republican party of today no longer have to hide, bite their tongue or speak in code words to tell black and other minorities to *** off they are not welcome. Their ideas of democracy is the poor vs. the rich and the Wisconsin election is a prime example of how the rich can really annihilate poor people and set their agenda in place for more focus on capitalism and greed. The ones trumpeting the Repubs remind me of the movie "Dying to belong" because most will almost die before getting acceptance or treated as equal from this party. Even the rednecks trailer park are placed on a pedestal and is easily welcome in this party than some of these so-called working class black folks, which are the true proletariat of America and is dismissed by both parties to be fair.
@Great1, lol, not gonna even bother. First off, that was pure republican talk right there. Exactly what Republicans are selling and sadly most gullible blacks are devouring. People vote base on color, gender, culture and even class. John Kennedy rec'd most Catholic votes based on religion, Dukakis, when he ran rec'd most of the Greek votes, Hillary rec'd most of the female votes and I'm sure Cuomo will receive most Italian votes if he does decide to run. Now for the republicans… a party of white angry male who caters to the rich of course will receive a high percentage in this group including white Christians. Obama is bi-racial the last time I checked and thus the reason why he too rec’d more that 45% of white votes or some people just have convenient amnesia. These repubs are so quick to point out that so-called 98% of black folks will vote for Obama based on race when it is more of a fact that is exactly how blacks have been voting for ages, thus the reason why Gore rec’d over 90% of their votes, go figure.
nite now.
@Prissy So true! Middle class blacks have been dismissed by both parties. However, if some middle class blacks feel the way to be heard is to stay home and not vote, they must not understand that if Romney is elected they will be among the first to fall into poverty! And in such an important election as this one, with so much at stake, and people around the world fighting for democracy, why would anybody outside of religious reasons not vote? Look at the history of America, with the civil rights movement in the 60's. People sacrificed their lives to ensure all American citizens had the right to vote, and now in 2012 because the first black President can't clean up the colossal mess the previous administration left, they are gonna stay home and not vote?!
Yes, white liberals voted for Obama but not because he's half Black. They stayed within the party lines. Black voters pushed him over the top, although he would have won without the young Black hood vote. Now these same hoodrats see he's done nothing for them so they will not vote. Devout Black Christians will also not vote rather than support a candidate who pushes *** rights. 2012 is much different from 2008. We've had our minority president. It's no longer new and exciting. On to the next thing...a Mormon.
