First, we know that Alexander and Caesar are real dudes because we have primary historical sources to back up their existence. People who lived during their time, who saw them or the results of their activities, wrote about them. Coins were made, busts and statues were sculpted *while they were alive*. Both Alexander and Caesar were recorded by other people, in various ways, while they were both alive. Jesus ain't got nothing like that.
Second, Pliny the Younger was born 30 years after Jesus' supposed death. He isn't a primary historical source. He can't be. A primary historical source has to be a record made while the specific historical person is alive, by that person or people who are also alive during that time.
Third, the only reference to Jesus that Pliny ever made was in his letter to Trajan. In it, he wants to know how to punish Christians, who worship a Christ figure and not the emperor. Simply stating that some group worships something or someone isn't a historical record of that something or someone. It only gives record of the beliefs of that group.
