He has the right to his opinion based on his personal experience. I am not his fan or in his fan base, but there are many lil black girls who love his music whom I am sure were thrilled to see him at the show. Whether we like it or not, he is a relevant factor in the music world.

They want to sell out the folks that made the station relevant and get the mainstream audiences that acts like Justin Beiber attract. If it wasn't for "white people" black entertainers wouldn't even exist. Who do you think pays to listen to their songs and see their films?... black people... Not a chance. Welfare goes to alcohol, drugs and shoes and video games (and sometimes bail) ... not movies and music profits. That sh*t gets pirated in the black community.

*** ratings haven't been posted yet for this event. Unlike the other more popular (non-racist) awards shows during the year where the numbers are reported sometime that evening because the general public actually cares and wants to know. However last's years event had well over 7 million people tune in. Pretty pathetic when compared to the Grammy's recent 40 million viewers and many of the same black artists were there to perform, present and be honored as well. Let me put it in perspective, 4 times as many people watched the season premiere of 2 1/2 men. NBC is known for having he worst rated shows on TV and 3 more million people tuned in to watch the 2011 BET AWARDS.

Clearly the exec's at BET recognize the draw of white performers and importance of attracting viewers so they can attract sponsors and make some money for a change. Fortunate for them there were no fights at the show. Which at a BET event is a huge plus...Like they say, you can take the Awards show out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the awards show and until that happens... no one will watch your little pat on the back show.
