According to a person close to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson” is on the verge of signing a 10 year deal which will give News Corp far reaching control over the 50 Cent brand. And the deal is also poised to launch the company’s MySpace Records into the big leagues. MediaTakeOut.com has received a preliminary set of terms of the proposed deal:
And the cost to News Corporation for all that – $300M in cash and stock. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, “At least half of it will be in stock. [50] will be one of the largest shareholders of News Corp. when the deal is done.”
While nothing has been finalized. The deal is scheduled to go into effect in 2009 – after 50 completes his final album with Interscope.
