WOMAN CLAIMS THAT HOUSTON RAPPER GAVE HER HIV

May 31. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a prominent Houston rapper is being sued by a 23 year old woman who claims he infected her with HIV. The lawsuit, which is sealed to protect the privacy of the parties, was initiated a little over a month ago.
In court documents obtained exclusively by MediaTakeOut.com, the woman claims to have been in a committed relationship with the rapper for two years before making a startling discovery in his home. According to the documents, the woman found the prescription drugs Combivir and Sustiva tucked away in the rapper's sock drawer. The two drugs are part of a cocktail of drugs commonly used to combat the effects of the HIV virus.
When she confronted the rapper about the medication, he reportedly denied that the medication was his - even though his name was on the bottles. The following day the woman took an HIV test and was diagnosed with the deadly virus.
The lawsuit seeks $25 million in damages.
This is the latest in a series of lawsuits where a woman sues her ex-boyfriend after contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Last year a Georgia woman sued Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, claiming her gave her herpes. A few weeks ago the sides agreed to settle the lawsuit for an unspecified dollar amount.
