: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Nicole Richie has just entered a guilty plea to the DUI charge she was facing in California.
And the judge didn't let her off the hook either. 'The Simple Life' star, who is currently 3 months pregnant with her first child, was sentenced to 4 days in prison. But that's not all. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Nicole must begin serving her time by September 28.
Nicole, 25, was supposed to have received a minimum five day jail sentence under California law. But the judge was lenient with her - only giving her 4 days in jail. She was also fined $2,048, was ordered to attend an alcohol education course, and given three years probation.
The star was arrested on December 11, 2006 for driving on the wrong side of the road on a California highway on her return from boyfriend Joel Madden's house. Joel is believed to be the father of Nicole's baby.
When Nicole was pulled over, she told the arresting officers she had smoked marijuana and taken the strong painkiller Vicodin.

I'm actually glad she's pregnant, #1 she will gain weigh, #2 if she continue to act up while pregnant child protective services will get involved. #3 i've heard of plenty of women with bad habits once they know their having a baby its changes them. I also saw her on Tyra Banks show and she does have some common senses. I don't know what's going on with these hollywood girls these days, using rehab as a vacation resorts.
I really hope that this chick can get her life together, for the sake of this child. It is really sad to see people with all the money in world, do nothing positive with there lives. ok, i think its rediculous that these headlines say she is getting a harsh sentence. Come on, 4 days? i have no remorse. Thats nothing. My first time in jail i received 4 years and had no bond and was only 18 years old. How come my name wasnt mentioned in media bc my sentence was to harsh? and for paris, i think her rich ass should've got a year and a day bc they would've sent her up the road (prison) and she would've got a taste of it there and she would not of had special treatment there. come to miami and i gaurantee if u actors come here with some bullshit here the system would put the books on yall and give u the books just bc ur actors or actresses. ur better off being a regular person here bc they give u breaks down here. yall need to stop thinking there not getting breaks and being so eazy on them bc they have to go to jail for a couple days or weeks. my 1st time in jail if the judge would of gave me only 6 months i would've been the happiest man alive. but hey, i stand up to what i have to do as a man and do the time they decide to give me. Yes that was sad and it was stupid, however it is this strange quirkiness in her personality that keeps me liking her.
I think she is hella funny. She could have really hurt someone though or even hurt herself. I hope in the near future that she gets real help. This is not good for her child.
Nicole really isn't lionel's biological daughter... I've actually seen a picture of her real father and she looks just like his ass. Nicole needs to get it together, if I had money like that no way I'd be spending time in jail. Hopefully this will teach her a lesson and she'll get it together, if not for herself for her baby.

I specifically said he was a PARENT IN DENIAL. He has repeadetly stated that Nicole was not on drugs, does not have an eating disorder and that the media is blowing everything out of porportion = DENIAL.
No sympathy here. When will people, even celebs, realize how dangerous drinking and driving are? And to keep getting DUI's is outrageous. Either the laws of CA and other states need to be changed or the celeb loving judges need to step down. It may be both.
A few days in jail isn't going to deter these kids. They need at least 6 mos behind bars to give them a wake up call. Nicole can receive her prenatal care in jail. And WTH is Lionel?

Lionel & Brenda Richie have failed Nicole as parents. She was a heroin addict as a teenager! Yes, the Richies were wealthy and her mother was poor but what's a parent if you're not there to provide the nurturing they need? Lionel isn't even raising the biological children he had with his second wife either. In their divorce decree, his ex asked for tuition for boarding school thousands of miles away from their CA home. I didn't see Nicole on Tyra, but I have read and seen plenty of interviews where she said she is Black. I also heard the rumor that Sheila E brother was her father( I'm from Berkeley, CA as well)but it is a rumor that has never been confirmed. Just thought I would add that since people keep saying she is white, you can look at that girl and see the Black in her.
Anyways 4 days is nothing! Lindsey, Brittney, Nicole and Paris will learn nothing untill unfortunatley someone looses their life.
