: MediaTakeOut.com got some close up pics of Gabrielle Union's hair and we were amazed. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is a great looking weave...
Please i would love to see some your hair weaves and for the chick above you know that you can curl straight hair and get that same look, which is what she did, so i really don't know what you talking about hon. she looks nice MTO was talking about this particular pic i don't know why ppl talkin about bad boys and other mess stick to the topic at hand no one was talking about her past sometimes you have to do things wrong to get things right ppl get over it I swear you B!TCHES make me sick. for everbody else GOOD MORNING
voodoovixen says:
Uhh. maybe because it just might her hair. Is that so out of the question? I mean,I'm usually good at spotting weave and I just don't think thats what it is. Maybe some fill in around the back for length, but i doubt it would be starting up top. But hey, I don't wear weave.
I say:
Girl you have got to be kidding. You must not have ever seen a Gabby movie. Her weaves be hit. As for Megan, I kinda think that is a weave, but I am not totally sure. If it is it blends flawlessly, but Meg has been an actress since she was a child and her hair has always been long.
Why does everyone always assume that someone is wearing a weave if they have hair longer then their ears - like black women can't grow their on *** hair. meagan good has naturally long hair and so does jada. I admit, a good amount of stars do wear weave - mostly to protect their own hair from constant styling, but that doesn't mean they don't have long hair to begin with - please!
I don't wear weaves at all, to me this is not a good job. Her sideburns need to b touched up, anyone can c that. To me the weave is a different texture from her real hair that looks oiled down. Maybe its time for a new 1.
To all the beautiful women who wear weaves and love themselves i have a question, Do u buy the weave then have someone put it in or do hair salons carry weaves?
I hear ya deontaer, but nah, Meagan Goode is a track star! lol
That's why I decided to get one, my hair is curly, but frizzy and since I don't chemically straighten it, I thought a weave would be great. Plus, blow-dry straight doesn't get it straight like you see some sistahs wear. My fave straight style is Beyonce's, "Me, Myself and I" video.
Jada's hair is natural though.....
ACTUALLY, Gabby's natural hair was long to begin with. Take it back to the very first Bring It On movie, Deliver Us From Eva and when she was in that movie with Morris Chestnutt and Jamie Foxx. The girl had hair from jump. She has done some cuts and alterations since them, so she's probably thrown a few packs or two in for fillers, but don't get it twisted, the girl DID have good hair!
what is wrong with her sideburns?! she needs to relax her edges. MTO you're wrong...her weave looks whack! These lace fronts are making alot of ladies real lazy. I think Tyra's got the best weave. I'm no fan of her fake-azz, but at least Tyra takes care of her baby-hairs. She always makes sure they are smooth *** blended. @MTO- I see you- you just put those nappy *** up to get us all into another weave battle.
Good hair /adj.noun/ 1. Meaning, you take proper maintenence and care of your natural hair to insure it is well moisturized, manageable and free of breakage and stress. 2.NOT to be confused with the slave term used by those whom are culturally oppressed into believing that one group of people with a certain texture is more aceptable than another texture.
What up, Shaloka!
standard I order my hair then my beautician, the only lady I been going to for the past years does the rest... but her salon doesn't carry weave she just advise us where to go and what to get.... but when I was rocking the Bohyme hair (however you spell it lol) she been recommending all her clients to get on the remy hair band wagon, its expensive but its worth the money....
I haven't had braids style, like micros or conrows in five years and I just got micros three weeks ago and terrified to see when I take it out cuz I think I'm going to be bald lol, but I usually wear my own hair wrapped.... but in the summer my own hair doesn't cut it its aggravating as hell....
@Strongblackwoman, thanks for that. I just cannot get into weaves, i do like it on others tho. I hate doing my own hair so for me the braids r perfect. I haven't had braids in a while tryna rock my wraps, my hair is long hair its getting too hot, and i was thinking about maybe getting a weave then cut it ***. There's so many different kinds of weave i'm not sure what to buy.
Some of you ladies, might need to take notice of a fairly good weave, because some of yall being having that pure ***, quick weaves, straight hair, when yall regular hair look like the hair's on yall puss*, you can tell a chick with glue imeediately, she is the one beating the hell out of her head, like a dude beating his meat, while watching superhead porn. Not a huge fan of weave, but if it looks nice, fine with me. If I see a track though it's on and poppin.
Perseus
One of those "back hand" compliments, huh MTO? Gabrielle would look pretty bald. Leave her alone MTO! ---------------------------------------------- Playa, you couldn't have said it better!!! Why the hell is this even a story? I love MTO but this was a low-down *** story. As though Black women don't catch hell already about their *** hair. As far as I'm concerned, it could BE her hair. What about Latino women that sport tracks like J-lo and Jessica Alba, and the WHITE ones like Madonna and half the other white women in Hollywood?! MTO, ya'll wrong for this one. That *** wasn't cool.
*** UP, OD26!!!! LMAO
@standard, yeah it's true. They cornrow your entire head, so that no hair is left out and then the put the tracks on top of the cornrow base. This method is good for women that want to wear different hair color too, and not have to worry about dying their own hair, which requires extreme maintence and dries it out.
I'm in atlanta, so unless you're here I'm clueless. BUT, do research like I did, and a good weave starts with a heathly head of hair.
A good technician will want you to come in for a consultation before recommending a weave/technique suitable for your styling needs and desires.
GET QUALITY HAIR! If you check a few sites, average cost of a pack (4oz.)will run you about $150 a pack, you may need up to 2pks depending on your head, or how thick you want it.
I know for a fact that the company, GREAT LENGTHS (be sure to check the website, very informative) has authorized salons to sell and use their extensions and products. The have several locations nationally.
that look like a half wig ciara be rockin em i used to rock em...*** IM A *** WIT GLUE *** I BE PATTIN MY HEAD BUT I PAID 4 IT *** LOOKS GOOD WIT IT 4 ALL YALL WHO HATE ON *** WIT WEAVE DONT HATE CUZ WE CAN AFFORD IT *** JUST CUZ U WEAR WEAVE DONT MEAN U BALD HEADED CUZ I KNO I AINT *** I STAY IN DALLAS *** ALMOST EVERYBODY WEAR WEAVE SO BOO!
@keepitreal, and that other ignorant poster,
Women of ALL races (men too!)have been wearing hair extensions since the begining of time. "Weaving" is just the most recent in the last century for add extensions to your own hair.
Some of the biggest celebrities, whom are white, also wear weaves. HECK!!! Jessica Simpson has a signature line of hair extensions out!
Britney Spears Paris Hilton Nicole Richie Linsay Lohan Sarah Jessica Parker Reese Witherspoon Pamela Anderson Jennifer Aniston Scarlett Johansen Mischa Barton
Shall I continue to discussing tanning, implants, hair-bleaching, collegen, laser-surgery?
White women INVENTED the art of beauty enhancement, and DAG-NABBIT, BLESS 'EM!! LOL
Black women are always singled-out, just because of our hair issues and it's not fair.
^ Well im white/black/puerto rican.
Its down to my back I might get a hair cut soon. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Babygirl, I hope you are just joking about all of this because if not, you'll have a heck of a lesson in life to learn.
Don't represent yourself like that sista, for real.
Nothing wrong with weave, saying fake nails are acceptable, but weave is not, hillarious, I guess having claws like FLOJO is cool, but weave is not, get a grip, if that;s not the pot calling the kettle "charcoal" black, if you rocking a weave more power to you, it is true you can't please everyone, all I will say is get yo sew game up, those using that glue, better get that super glue, because I heard that Elmers be flaking and itching. LMBAO
FINALLY KILLED YOURSELVES MTO!!!!!!!
GUESS WHO DOES GABBY'S HAIR AZZHOLES!!!!
KIM KIMBLE - BEYONCE'S HAIR STYLIST!!! (WHEN SHE'S AVAILABLE, IF NOT, SHE GETS TIPPI WHO WORKS FOR KIM AND WHO DOES KELLY AND RIHANNA, IF NOT I'M SURE SHE KNOWS SOMEONE ELSE.)
THE ONLY REASON WHY WEAVES DON'T SHOW ON DARK HAIR IS BECAUSE.......... IT'S DARK!!!!
YEAH, IT BLENDS, BUT IT STILL LOOKS LIKE A WEAVE!! SHE USED THE WAX STICK ON HER EDGES AND IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S WEAVE.
NOT HATING, BUT THERE'S NOTHING SPECIAL HERE.....
GABBY NEEDS A JOB AND NEEDS TO STAY UP OUT THE CLUBS. SHE'S EARNING A NAME IN HOLLYWOOD AND IT'S NOT A GOOD ONE.
DreDog That's awful to hear that happened to her! I had never heard about that story.
Actually the hometown I'm referring to is in the Midwest where her mother still lives and Gabbie lived when she was young. I would say the location but I'd rather not post it on here. Too many issues lately with posts.....lol I'm not the most well-liked person on MTO.
Are there any black women that wear their real hair? Besides Fantasia or someone with a buzz cut? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You are presuming that ALL African-American women wear hair extensions, and that's a racist and ignorant comment. That's like saying are there any white women with real boobs, or natural blonde hair? Come on now......
Babygirl, I hope you are just joking about all of this because if not, you'll have a heck of a lesson in life to learn.Don't represent yourself like that sista, for real.
um what are you talking about ? Not representing my race ? My mom is white and my dad is black/puerto rican ? whats wrong with me ?
@iloveyou,
I said represent "yourself", not "race", don't misinterpret what I stated. There's a big difference, and besides, you are still considered a Black (or at least ETHNIC woman, as so am I. I'm Black, Carribean and Irish)
I guess so im glad I dont have to wear weave my hair is natural long and brown ! Thanks to my white mama !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I didn't quite know what to make of this comment, which is why I left the following:
"................................." What were you really trying to say? Are you saying that makes you better than a woman that wears one?just curious that's all, no big deal, but I was hoping that wasn't the case.
Also, I'm not trying to be insulting, but I don't get why some ppl start a comment off with "um". I just don't get it.

Why dont you stop worrying about what im writing. People dont consider me to look black..I dont even look it. I am almost light as Angelina jolie ! I know im mixed ! So what is the point ??
LOL Mediatakeout your writers walk a fine line between funny and hater. This is another example of MTO crossing over to the hater side. The headline is a backhanded compliment that you would expect from side haters. Step your game up please. Enlarging her edges come on MTO. You putting the H in it. It would of been more appropriate to write Gabrielle Union has the best hair in Hollywood. LOL Didn't you learn anything from the PR episode of Charm School. CTFU
