: MediaTakeOut.com just learned that there is a SCANDAL brewing amongst the cast of the TV show The Game. Because BET, the new network home of The Game has decided to pay actress BRITTANY DANIEL as much as TWICE the salary of her castmembers.
Here's what we know. A SNITCH who works with the cast told MediaTakeOut.com that these are the OFFICIAL salaries of the actors of the show:
Tia Mowry (as Melanie Barnett) - $50K per episode Pooch Hall (as Derwin Davis) - $40K per episode Coby Bell (as Jason Pitts) - $35K per episode Wendy Raquel Robinson (as Tasha Mack) - $35K per episode Hosea Chanchez (as Malik Wright) - $35K per episode Brittany Daniel (as Kelly Pitts) - $75K per episodeWell why is Brittany making more than her OTHER actors, including seasoned actress Tia Mowry. The insider explained, "The 'offiicial' word is that Brittany had to turn down another show to sign on, and so she's being compensated for that." The insider continued, "But that's crazy, everyone had another project that they could have done."

It sounds bad off the top ,but she had another project lined up. It's just like any other job people. If a company wants u bad enough the will offer u more than your current salary to get you. Keep in mind, BET is known for paying less than other channels. What they are offering her is probably just a little more than the other channel was offering her 4 their show. I hate non of the other cast had work lined up..cause if they had.. Bet would have had to top it!
We all know BET sold out a long time ago. And 25k per episode is nothin. I remember the first cast of 90210 *** Melrose Place making that much in the 90's. That 75k per episode another station was offering sounds like a lie. Other stations start @ 100k and go up. I think her manager just negotiated a little better than the others. Either way it's bad on BET's part b/c that's how most shows fall apart is over one actor making way more than another but isn't anymore a star than the others. BET probably think they can't do that show without a white girl.

I watched a few episode in the past and it was torture. The jokes were corny, the acting was horrible, and the so called drama isn't even dramatic.

If they "ALL" put in the same work hours then they should all be paid the same amount of money in my opinion. While Brittney Daniel(Kelly)and Coby Bell (Jason) may have fans who like their characters on the show those two could still be replaced with other actors and they would hardly be missed if their contracts weren't renewed. The other actors are more appealing and believable in their roles, but since it's hard for average people to find salaries that pay "YEARLY" what they all earn per episode, then I say they all should *** THE HELL UP!! 4u2
If this is true, why is everyone so surprised? Under that paid scale it averages out to $45,000 a episode. I would have paid them equally across the board. However that's too much like right. . It all boils down to how the individual contract are negotiated and the acting opportunities currently available for people of color. Regardless of the racial overtone of this story, Brittany Daniel’s team pulled off a better deal for their client.
Black folk with money should show more interest in creating viable projects for black actors. Since this isn’t being done, we get the same old “regurgitated” *** that’s directed at a narrow demographic. This is the main reason that you end up with a white actress, with a less than stellar acting repertoire, being given more bargaining leverage over black actors, with equally unimpressive acting resumes.

This is definitely a problem considering most of the Black actors from the show were either on or about to sign on to do other projects after the game was cancelled. Coby Bell on the USA Network show Burn Notice was a perfect example. This just goes to show you that even under the Black Entertainment moniker, who's still running things, and no it ain't Negroes. This has always been a problem whether it's in the T.V portion, or big screen portion of the industry. It's still sad that psychopath and known woman beater Charlie Sheen still makes $2 Mil. on that crappy show 2 1/2 Men he's on.

Tia may be a 'seasoned' actress, but I don't think she transitioned well from child acting (which is overly expressive) to more adult work. The only people who should have a problem with Brittany Daniel making more is Coby Bell and Wendy Raquel Robinson, because both of them have had previous work in long term sitcoms recently (as adults).
Everyone else is pretty inexperienced, and it shows. Pooch Hall, Brittany Daniel and Coby Bell are the best actors on the show. Wendy is great, but that character she plays is dead weight half the time.

I can understand the rage. Tia Mowry and Wendy Rachel should have received more in pay because of their job history. I know this is old but everyone should know that they weren't paying the white girl more like you all think, they *** 13 episodes, Brittany Daniel was only contracted for 6 which means she made a little bit more than a few actors but way less than tia and pooch.
