Someone alluded yesterday and its true that regardless of whether the boys knowingly and willing engaged in sexual intercourse with Mr. Long doo doo, its more about him than them. They were not the ones who swore unto god to uphold his word and live according to his likeness - he did. If they go out digging in booty they are not married and living a pretense life which could have a negative impact on innocent lives like his wife and kids (if he has any) but he does, they're not living a frivulous lifestyle taking people's money to pay for these kinky ***, he did or maybe still doing. Therefore, while not condoning the boys behavior put the responsibility where it belongs, which is squarely on Mr. Long.
I could be all the way wrong, but this does not sound like a suicide note to me, even though people may be saying its a suicide note. The Bishop's attorney is going to tear this 'evidence' to pieces. If the Bishop did this, he is wrong and needs to be punished. However, we need to allow jurisprudence to play out. The man is innocent until proven guilty. Besides, it's not as if high profile men and women don't get shake down. Suicide notes typically don't sound upbeat saying, "i dont need you to hurt or love me anymore i can do that by myself for free, no price and no string attached".

I believe he "broke into" the church (where the Bishop held living quarters) to steal items they knew would have incriminating evidence to prove their case. Put it this way, how would they know where those items were kept if it weren't for familiarity? And they were on the church's payroll? Taking exclusive trips for 'church business'? I am a victim of where my pastor was cheating with a woman in the congregation and trust me we did not want to belive it but he confessed to the church. It was painful and i am over 40 years old. So when i think about two young boys and i am sure they knew of *** that doesn't matter. They are young, naive and vulnerable and with a man such as Long a powerful leader in the world, money and all you don't know how they felt or what they were told. We have to be open minded people. It may be true that the young men were old enough to make their own decisions, but the fact is that a person in a leadership position *** be hitting on them in the first place. They had the right to say no, but the question should never have been asked. (IF that's what happened) Just becuase something is consentual doesn't make it right.
