He was only 19 years old and is not an athlete. The bad thing is this was at a gala for the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City, Mo. So it's funny how she climbed onto the high horse while doing that particular number. She just couldn't think of a clever way to blow him off so she opened up on him. |

I remember when she told Dhani Jones at the 4th of July concert in Philly a couple years ago that she was a 62 year old woman and to have some respect because he was dancing too close to her. I was very similar to what she did here but it didn't last that long. She needs to stop letting people come up on stage with her. |

I think she overreacted a bit, she could have just told him to step back and left it at that. when he said "you wanted it more than i did", she could have just been like, "yeah, whatever, bye" and moved on.
I'm glad she said SOMETHING though. I know this dude that got to meed Destiny's Child once. He said he snuck in and felt one of their booties, and they just acted like they didn't notice, probably not wanting to make a scene. I was mad at him! Regardless of what she was singing, there was no reason for him to get disrespectful. Performing is her job. Entertaining is her job and the song that she was singing was not written specifically for this man. The performance was to "entertain" him as well as the crowd. How could you even say that because of the content of the song, his disrespect was warrented? At least it sounds like that's what you are saying. In any event, she is not porno star or some random strumpet on the street. (Needless to say "NO" woman should ever be disrespected in any way.) This man went to see her perform because she is a legend. So why go up there and treat her like some desperate old lady when all she was doing was "entertaining". |

this dude paid for a ticket and got humiliated in front of thousands for making a joke that off the cuff...i love patti but she was out of order on this one and came off looking like a diva...he didn't mean her harm nor was he trying to be rude...he was in the moment of being called on stage and thought he was being funny with her...and the audience also let her know that she was over reacting and that's why she had to make amends....for all those who don't know what he said...he said 'i think you want it more than i do' that was in response to her stating he was too close dancing with her which to me he wasn't even that close...apparently she wants to bring fans onstage but at an extreme distance...i always perceived her as down to earth...not too sure anymore |

The guy couldn't sing, so that was okay with her. But when he said "I think you wanted it more than I did" and got a big laugh, Patti's ego couldn't deal with it. It's not like he came up there and was feeling all over her or asked her to f*** him. She went too far. If he didn't respect Patti he wouldn't have paid any money to go see her. She knew she was wrong, but yet she didn't apologize. Maybe she's not as down to earth as she wants people to think she is. I see she's just another diva like Diana and Aretha, who probably would have smacked the guy right off the stage if the same situation happened at one of their shows. |

When you go to a Concert, if you don't want to be embarrassed do not get on stage! He should have known better than to try that crap with her! He was just in the moment, probably did not mean it, but at the same time, was trying to get away with a smart alecky comment, and my Grandma would have blasted his ass just like she did! Why was he up there in the first place? The whole thing was weird to me! Show business people are different, they are "ON STAGE" when they are performing and they are in a different mental place when they are out in public crowds like that, so I am not surprised that she misunderstood him. I have learned to sit in my seat in large crowds like that, there is usually too much going on, and things get out of hand pretty quickly! Performers have to control the crowd. If they feel threatened then they may perceive that their control is slipping. It is a tricky situation at best, to perform and at the same time, try to be one with the audience comfortably. Interesting situation! |

Ya know I am a friend of that boys and that was just wrong what Patti Labelle did. First of all he was joking around, the whole time even the comment he didn't mean it he was just having fun, and for her to have embarrassed him in front of everybody like that is wrong. He is a very hard working boy and what she did was just rude and totally snobbish. The fact that he hid in the bathroom afterward cause he was soo embarrassed makes me very angry. If i had been there with him I would of given her a piece of my mind, how dare she go off on some young boy like that on stage sheesh.No manners at all she was trying to give him some home training well she needs some, just cause she is famous does not give her the right to act like that. |
