I don't think some of you guys get it. This woman has been molested by her father since the age of three without seeking any outside help. Do you honestly think she's going to get a fair shot if she files a police report 20 years later of her father abusing her? If the father has not been prosecuted or reported before the chances of her seeking justice 20 years later from the judicial system is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Literally!! And on top of that she’s a black woman, so the chances of her getting a fair shot of justice from the judicial system is laughable. See, this is what would happen if she took the route of getting the law involved. If she’s lucky the state would provided her with a state appointed attorney which is basically the equivalent of representing yourself. Next they are going incriminate and scrutinize her for a couple of hours. Then they are going to ask her one of the most important questions, this can ultimately decided if our taxpayer’s dollars are going to be used in this case. The question would be is there any eye witnesses to any of these sexual encounters you had with your father besides your sister. She’s going to reply yes. But, guess what happens because we as black people at times live by the “sweep it under the rug” motto. This means she’s basically screwed. And even if she did have a case, it’s going to take at least six months to a year to build and prepare a strong case against her father with all the legal fees, evidence based data, rounding up the witnesses and getting testimonies. By this time the father will already be on a first flight with her nieces to his country. So, basically she did what she had to do. The only thing I would of done differently is made that piece of sh#t die slowly. |
